    Belgian Stew

This recipe was given to me by my Mom who got it from her grandmother. It's really simple and delicious!

The photos look great and as soon as the temps go down around here I'll give your recipe a try, but I just might make it in a pressure cooker. Nutmeg is great in dishes like this though most people associate it with Christmas cookies and such.

I had the air conditioner pumping away so it wasn't so bad Please let me know what you think if you try it.

I haven't but I'm sure it would work out just fine. Probably run it on low for 8-10 hours.

it's not Belgian Stew as i know it, but it sounds and looks tasty! will try and make it.
classic Flemish stew not only calls for drinking beer with it but also putting in beer to cook it

Making this tonight. sounds simple and good, I tenderized the beef(with a hammer) just to help ensure tenderness.

Sorry about that haven't been around much. Yes it turned out well and I'll be making it again. Next time more vegetables will be involved. Thank you.
