Am I getting enough carbs
Wondering what the definition of "endurance" athlete is to try and determine if I need to get more carbs. My activity for the week usually includes about 1.5 hours of full court basketball 3 x's per week, 2 hours of volleyball, and 2 30 minute "doggcrapp style" lifting sessions. I do use a meal replacement shake after the "DC" workouts which gives me an extra 30-40 grams of carbs but i'm usually still around a 100 grams for the day or less.
I wonder about the carbs because of my endurance in basketball. There's that random day about once a month or so where I can run pretty much all out the whole time and never seem to get winded. I can't put my finger on what causes that. Nothing seems different about hydration or the meals the day before. The majority of the time I'm fasted when I play.
100 grams a day is pretty low for the sports that you are playing. If you were just doing something like walking then 100g would be fine, but it sounds like you are more active than that.
If you're even asking the question, you might want to consider experimenting with it.
I would suggest you to get raised the quantity of 100 g to 150-170 g.
As it will make sure to compensate your all needs that you are requiring.
Just about to say the same thing.
