I like getting a gyro salad from the nearby gyro shoppe, but is that sauce safe? I tried looking up ingredients and such but I don't know what restaurants would use... do you think they'd make it fresh there?

The top 5 recipes on Google have olive oil added to them. If they make it themselves, you could ask what oil they use.

So I read on one of these threads that gyro meat contains wheat. Not sure if it's true, but I have not gone near a gyro since.

I make a quick Tsatziki with Greek yogurt, fresh cucumber, garlic or garlic powder, and fresh mint or dill if I have it.

Maybe learn how to make a gyro salad at home and then pack it fir lunch?

It can contain wheat. Some recipes do.
