    One stupid orange!

Last night about an hour before bed I ate a nice big navel orange and this morning I'm dragging. Could one orange do that? I haven't had any fruit in a few weeks and have been primal for around three months now.

It probably can. Fruit totally destroys my energy, good mood, and satiety. It's unfortunate, but luckily fruit tastes too sweet/sour for me now and it hurts my mouth (the acidity?).

Although its possible that a fruit like an orange could affect you like that, I would highly doubt it. Are you sure you aren't ill because you ate an orange, felt guilty, and are now experiencing a placebo effect?

I don't know about guilt, I felt pretty smug while eating the orange. Who knows, maybe it's just a bad morning.

Could be a simple case of covariation with something else

I love fruit. But when I eat it, I usually add some heavy cream or coconut oil ... it definitely slows down the carb digestion.

Good idea. When I was a kid we used to have fruit with sour cream. I guess our parents did know a thing or two.

Maybe the Bass Ales I had Saturday night. Or the vodka that went with it. Damn those oranges!

Yep, I'm definitley losing my taste for sweets. Today for lunch I had some steak, broccoli and a side of spinach that was cooked with orange juice apparently, it tasted like orange candy to me, too sweet.
