Is it all just to look good in skinny jeans?
The silly thing is a lot of women stick their butts out for photos like that. If they stood up normally/properly, they might not have a "gap".

It seems to me that different folks are referring to different things when taking about "the thigh gap". Some of which will be governed by physiology (eg. A women's go width, whether her knees naturally touch slightly, knock kneed or bowed at all, and of course the amount of body fat or make present onthe inner thighs.
I certainly don't want to turn this into a bug legs vsc skinny legs thread, like the thin vs fat women threads we see, where either end of the spectrum is seen as not natural or real etc.
If you naturally have any type of gap between your thighs and are happy with that, great for you. If you don't and are also happy, then great for you
But if you've got legs like Lolo Jones and are feeling pressure to diet so they look like the ones below, just so you look good in skinny jeans or think that's what all men want, or that is "what women should look like".. Please don't!

Thus is what I thought people whet taking about initially, not the extremely skinny intentionally almost wasting of the thighs so that there is a gap all along the thigh.
And can I just say "kapow!!"? :-)
My hipbones are starting to show a bit, but I still have abdominal fat that needs to go.
Nameless, how many miles is your cycle commute?
