Cows now being fed candy and cookies?!

As if the corn feeding wasn't bad enough, now they are feeding cows any kind of processed food that they can get cheap.

    This is just wrong...

"Farming is a game of inches sometimes, or half-inches. Every little penny you can find to save, you do."

Because you have to keep your prices competitive in a marketplace loaded with cheap, artificial "food". It's really too bad that we would rather spend our money on trinkets than on food.
The above should be viewed as complete and utter nonsense.

If you think this is bad, I heard something on the radio a while back about feeding human waste to a bunch of flies and then making the flies into processed food products for humans to eat because "insects are a good source of protein." Cookie fed cows are still better than poo fed flies.

    My wish:
If the people who buy candy for human consumption could pause and reflect for 1 second on why it's cheaper than animal feed.

This was from last year (I saw it on CNN). It was cheaper for two main reason; 1)higher corn prices due to the drought last year 2) its defective product that the manufacturers can't sell for public consumption, batches that were mixed wrong (flavors or colors), stuff that hit the floor, and scraps.

This is just another case of a calorie is a calorie. They need pounds at auction.
