Oh, wow! Thank you so much for posting this.

Interesting film. But I'm suspicious of the translators' constant use of "the whites." Wouldn't it be South Americans working for "the whites," who are doing the damage? Seems like the film has a white guilt agenda.

it might be difficult to translate their dialects, especially because they might not have words in their language to adequately describe the differences between the two. i was reading articles: something about the british coming in especially in the indian versions of the movies, not so much the south american side. im sure spanish people were probably quite white looking in comparison to these indigenous populations. still, i understand where you are coming from in terms of translation.

Is it odd that I have a longing to live like these people when I watch videos or read about them? Heh..
View all problems as challenges. Look upon negativities that arise as opportunities to learn and to grow. Don't run from them, condemn yourself, or bury your burden in saintly silence. You have a problem? Great. More grist for the mill. Rejoice, dive in, and investigate.

I'm thinking. Wow, people who haven't felt the ravaging effects of high fructose corn syrup. It would be great to have them stay that way and live the way that they choose.

    Norcalgirl: Interesting link. Thanks.

"im sure spanish people were probably quite white looking in comparison to these indigenous populations."

Not sure what you are saying here. Spanish are predominately Celtic. The look that most in the USA associate with Spanish is actually Indian.
