    Ugh gross. But don't be mislead...there's still plenty harmful sh*t in the junk they peddle to us over the pond!

    Some of that is misleading. It's true that some of these chemicals have the potential for being very harmful. But exaggerating the effects of what can happen as though it will happen at the dose normally encountered is a scare tactic intended to get more readership.

    Yes, they should clean up harmful additives from the food chain. Yes, arsenic will kill you if you eat it straight. But even in highly contaminated drinking water it is usually a chronic problem. The amount ingested from eating chickens is not going to cause anybody to drop dead.

    2. Olestra (or Olean): Lowers calorie counts while causing vitamin depletion and anal leakage.
    This is a favorite of mine. People eat lower calorie foods (and so eat Olestra) presumably to be thin and attractive. But I'm guessing that most people wouldn't mind an extra 10 pounds on their partner as much as they would mind anal leakage.

    There are funner ways to cause anal leakage.
    Female, 5'3", 49, Starting weight: 163lbs. Current weight: 135 (more or less).
    Starting squat: 45lbs. Current squat: 180 x 2. Current Deadlift: 230 x 2
