    Bulk coconut oil sources

    Shop Now
    Hi all -
It's been discussed before but I couldn't find a recent thread w/ good sources. Anyone have a favorite bulk coconut oil? Any storage problems during summer months?

I have a cool-ish temp basement but just looking to cut down $ on this item.

thanks for any info or suggestions!!

I buy a huge container of it at Costco... Organic, extra virgin.

Not sure what bulk is to you since for one person, a half gallon of it lasts me a really long time. You might try Vitacost - I got their brand and it works well for me, though I'm no connoisseur. It started getting into the 80s in April here, so it went into the fridge. I put a small portion into a container so I'm not melting and cooling the same half gallon over and over.

I got mine at Costco too (Carrington Farms organic, unrefined, cold pressed) but I'm not sure they have it anymore. Maybe they do. Their stock is always changing. Good tasting stuff, though, and it comes in a 54oz tub for a decent price - $16 or so, if I remember correctly.

Don't know if you were looking for an even bigger tub.

I also like and order from Tropical Traditions. I buy it by the gallon and also get a lot of the shredded coconut to make coconut butter.
