Absorption through scalp
i recently started reading the contents of the shampoo i'm using:
- Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein
- Hydrolyzed Corn Protein
There was no data about concentration in the liquid.
Should i be concerned about absorption of these substances through the scalp? I'm trying to avoid caffeine because of adrenal issues, and naturally i'm no fan of wheat and corn. Can absorption of these substances through the scalp cause issues in the same way as when we ingest them?
It certainly affects my daughter badly if she uses any products containing wheat on her skin (she comes up in hives) - and my other daughter can't use anything containing corn or wheat either to eat or to use on skin, so I'd suggest it might affect you more than you think.
