Very interesting...purchased the book...need some advice

Good morning!
Wow..what an incredible site....and forum.
I purchased PB...and have read it. LOVED it. Makes great sense!
I have run 6 marathons, and have been very active all my life. I am tall -- 5'10, with a comfortable weight of 135. I have NEVER been overweight, and held on to 127 lbs for a very long time.
I am now 50. Yes, the few pounds have crept up to my midsection - approximately four pounds. Now, one would argue that this is a no-brainer, and should be taken off easily. I am now around 141.
I have eaten very clean for the past month. Only fish, eggs, vegetables (mostly lettuce/spinach - not carrots), nuts...with a protein drink (Shakeology) here and there. I haven't started my marathon training, yet, and work-out a few times a week (average 3-4 times a week).
Last weigh-in I lost two pounds..but I am not seeing results in the mirror. I still feel that "poof" in the stomach. GRRRR. HATE IT.
I went to my internist, who tested my thyroid (I feel fine!) and my hormones, which are great. I had a hysterectomy in 2007, and am on bioidentical hormones that are plant based...and rubbed on my skin for absorption. My energy is great...all blood work terrific. Yes, I am blessed.
I know many here are in pristine condition. How do I get that final "BOOM"...those few nagging pounds, off?
Am I being impatient (which I have been accused of in the past!). Does this way of eating take a bit longer to see the results that many here have attained?
THANK YOU ALL for any tips or encouragement!

Stop eating carbs and nuts. Increase your fat intake to 70% of your daily calories. Those are the first two steps.

Yes...hardly no carbs..around 40 gms a day..that's it.
