I saw a package of lamb sliders in the fridge section of A Matter of Health...I couldn'lt tell if it was GF but aren't lambs mostly GF? I got them because I love merguez and thought maybe this would be similarly delicious....do I just pan fry?

Are lambs gluten free? *blink* Yes.

Ground meat should not contain any gluten. However, since it is a pre-packaged food, it probably has an ingredients list. You should read it, since they sneak wheat fillers into all manner of things that don't need it. (Other sneaky things: soy, sugar, carageenan, msg, hfcs)

Also the word 'sliders' implies, to me at least, that they are small burgers - ground meat patty, mini-bun, cheese, and some sort of condiment. No clue what a "merguez" is.

TLDR, always read ingredients on packaged food before purchasing.

haha oh that question might make more sense then. still, i would say not grass fed exclusively unless specified. Sheep 201: Feeding Lambs

sliders still means burgers though, at least here in the USA.

Hahahahahaha I had the exact same reaction! Grass fed makes way more sense, but definitely read that as gluten-free.

Also, as depressing as it sounds, I would assume that lamb purchased in the US is not grass fed unless specifically stated. From what I understand, they are usually allowed to graze on grass, but their diet is also supplemented with grain. It does vary, but if it doesn't say I would tend to assume the worst! I'm not familiar with that chain of stores though.
