    If I order 3 bottles of 25mcg (100 tablets per bottle)... Do you think they will go bad before I use them. Should I just get the 1 bottle?

    Darn hypothyroidism... I'm so indecisive!

    Hey y'all!!!

    I never thought I'd say this but.... I'm adding salt to my diet!

    I've dealt with water retention for as long as I can remember. CW says that it's due to having too much sodium in the diet. I started using No-Salt (potassium) probably 10 years ago. Since then I have rarely added salt to my food. My sodium intake has been the highest when traveling and eating out. On an average day, when I'm eating moderately, I have on average 1500 mg of sodium. (I track on myfitnesspal)

    One thing I noticed is that when I overeat or binge, my heart rate increases and my body temp feels super hot. I thought it was mostly due to eating so much more than I normally do and also the fact that it's carb laden foods. I've also noticed this from eating goat cheese. I'm just now realizing that salt is probably a big factor in this too.

    Today, I still used No-Salt but I've also added 3/4 teaspoon of sea salt. I'm going to experiment for a while and see what happens. I've tried to cut back on the No-Salt but I don't feel good when I do. I think I need the potassium.

    Sounds like a fun experiment. I've increased my salt intake dramatically the last 2 months as well. I've gotten very used to it, and salt EVERYTHING. Can you get potassium from bananas instead?

    Do you ever notice water retention from the salt? Do you feel better?

    I eat bananas but it doesn't seem enough. Once my body gets used to the extra salt, I might try to wean off of the No-Salt.

    I have been putting on fat and some muscle slowly so I can't really tell if I'm retaining water. I feel better too, but it might be from a lot of other factors as well.

    I think that's a myth, based on brief research of it. Without enough sodium, serum albumin is unable to keep water from leaving the blood and entering the tissues, which in theory would cause water retention. It's also correlated with hormones, and levels of potassium, magnesium, calcium, etc;
