Wanted: Food Processor page

I need a food processor, but I'm having trouble finding what I'm looking for.


Some have large containers (14-cup or so) with a smaller (4-cup) container.


Others have a blender attachment.


I want a food processor with both! I want to have the blender but also a small cup for small projects. Does anyone know of a brand or where I can find said machine?

We literally JUST got back from getting one from Target. There was a good selection there. We were torn on what to get but decided for the Black and Decker Mini Pro. Smaller than your needs as it is only a 2 cuper. Easy enough to pull out and use on a daily basis though - small enough to hide as well.


We have never used one so this is our first. We will see if we outgrow it... I am sure we will.


In any event, there was a 6 cup that we almost purchased instead. it was roughly 35 bucks. Not sure if that helps any but Target had about 6 processors there. Made things difficult for us in choosing.

Being that I have a kitchen the size of your average shower, I'm all about space saving. I need a large 14-cup or so, but also a small 4-cup for small jobs. I'd love to throw out my crappy blender and save a little space by having a blender attachment as well. If I can't do a 3-in-1 I might have to figure something else out.

I don't know about a 3-in-one, but Kitchenaid and Cuisinart both make the larger processors (I want to say 11 cup) with small bowl attachments that fit inside the bigger bowl. I got the 7 cup Kitchenaid for Christmas last year, and I'm almost surprised I haven't killed it yet I use it so much! I thought about getting the bigger one with the small bowl attachment, but decided the medium one would be more practical for me. Plus a 14 cup one would be HUGE!!


One caveat, I know you're on a small budget, and those two brands are the more pricey ones. I was lucky, it was my big present from my mother-in-law They should last forever though, very well made stuff. Maybe your dad could buy you a food processor instead of antelope one week! Totally jealous by the way, I have so much fun trying new "weird" foods.

Look into MAGIMIX...it is a French brand but they are almost magical! I have the Magimix Cuisine 4200.

My goodness maranne, that looks amazing...how much would that be in the US? Maybe when mine does die I'll splurge...

Hi Hannahc,

It took me ages to decide to get it or not because it is rather expensive...I paid about $300 for it 2 years ago. They do have a 12 year warranty though! It is an investment and I would only suggest buying one IF you use it a lot!

I think that's a bit out of my price range- lol. Still very impressive.


I guess if I can't find a 3-in-one, I'll go with the blender/processor duo, and just keep my little chopper for small jobs.
