Help! Candida and Fermented Foods???
I am hoping someone here can help. A few years ago, I got a skin rash that was diagnosed as a yeast infection. After several creams, the only thing that worked was a yeast free diet. I have since gone mostly primal, but if I have too much fruit, the rash comes back. Lately it has come back with a vengeance. Here is what has changed that I can tell. In the past 1.5 weeks I have had 4 gluten free beers and 3 kombuchas as well as sauerkraut (most days) that we make ourselves. I don't cheat with bread/crackers because I have a gluten allergy. Can I really be that sensitive to yeast? I would hate to give up gluten free beer on occasion. Or is this from the kombucha, sauerkraut? Does anyone have anything similar to this?
I just started the yeast free diet, yet again, but honestly I am a little discouraged because it is so boring. I really liked the fermented foods, which of course are a "no-no" on the diet.
