that's cool. there's a paleo group in wellington now. when we came here, basically no one was paleo. I started to talk about it with some folks, and most of them were like 'what? huh?" and yoga teachers were particularly against it. LOL

now, the crossfit boxes have taken over (i think there are 3 in town now and then 2 in the hutt or something), and so paleo is very fashionable with that set! and the paleo meet up group has something like 100 active members. it's cool.

Wellington is such a great city. I loved my month there and I ate so well! No problems getting #celiac friendly food and prep at all ... I hope to visit again.

3 paleo related articles in this edition of North&South magazine.

1st an overview of the paleo diet, including the usual arguments for and against (or so it looked from a quick skim) followed buy the author giving his impression after actually trying it for a while (hint: he was sold on paleo based on his results even if not being convinced by the paleo back story).

2nd was about a successful kiwi paleo/primal triathlete called Shorty Clark.

The 3rd was about barefoot running.

Then today I spotted this in a local health food shop:

    But at $20 for a 350g bag I gave it a miss.
I did check out the manufacturers website though, only to find it is a local company headed by another kiwi cricketer.

They also had this nifty info graphic:
