Unreal how good this tastes:
1 frozen banana
1/2 avocado
2 scoops casein powder
4 almond milk ice cubes
1/4 cup cream
1 tbsp almond butter
14 grams 100% cacao chocolate
1 tbsp cacao powder
Carob chips sprinkled on top
Processed all this in the vitamix
Wow. It's unreal. So rich
Well heck. Why carob?
Full disclosure: My mother used to feed us carb because carob was magical and chocolate was evil. That was before it became known that the fat added at that time to turn carob flour into a product with the texture of chocolate was highly hydrogenated. Sometimes it is not now, sometimes it is. Usually carob chips are sweetened with barley malt.
(I thought it tasted like dirt.)

It is great that you came up with something that you really enjoy. The combination of banana/avocado/chocolate is one of my favorites as well, although I haven't used them frozen. I'm going to play around with your recipe to use the primal ingredients I have on hand. Thanks for the nice dessert idea.
Agreed, why casein? It's over processed junk, but hey, to each his own. I also made an amazing ice cream....I've been experimenting with texture and think I've found the trick!
One can of light coconut milk ( what I had )
1/4 cup coconut butter
1/4 cup coconut sugar
2tsp organic vanilla extract
1/2 tbs Great Lakes bovine gelatin
Shaved dark chocolate
Add coconut butter ( heated till drippy) and milk in saucepan until it just begins to boil, stirring like crazy. Add sugar and vanilla and stir until dissolved. Take 2tbs of water and dissolve gelatin, giving it about a min to absorb, then add to hot liquid and stir. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate for an hour and then pour into ice cream maker. Add chocolate shavings towards the end of churning. Place in large container and freeze for one hour. Enjoy. Perfectly textured creamy ice cream!
Here's a really non-fancy recipe:
1 ripe banana
Freeze ripe banana for 2 hours. Slice and put into food processor until it is whipped. You can top with shaved chocolate which is really yummy. My hubby and picky daughter love this!!
