Cooking with poppy seeds and sesame seeds

I put both poppy seeds and sesame seeds on my flounder and salmon, then cook them. I also like some sesame seeds in my stir frys. Is it a good habit to cook with these seeds? Can the oils oxidize due to the heat? Are these two seeds even nutritionally necessary?

No those two seeds are completely superfluous with regards to nutrition, if you must have them for the taste, that's a different story but they're not health-promoting in significant amounts. Yes they can definitely oxidize and even if they aren't oxidized they will still convert to arachidonic acid and pro-inflammatory eicosanoids and reduce the levels of DHA in your cell membranes. Bad news. I advise to not go overboard.
