Net carbs vs total carbs on Pirmal?
Do I count my carb intake on Primal similarly to Atkins/Keto as net carbs (deducting grams of fiber from total carb content)? I'm trying to lose weight and aiming for 50-70g of carbs a day and read an article on here that that range is appropriate but is it referring to net carbs or total carbs? Thanks.

Ultimately you're going to have to find out what works best for you. What matters most is that you do any analysis using consistent measuring. On the rare occasions when I look at my own carbs, I am looking at net carbs.

It's referring to total carbs if it's Mark Sisson's version, but I think that's flawed. Why would you count something that has no impact? Personally, I wouldn't count the dietary fiber and only count NET carbs if that's what your goal is because the phantom fiber count isn't changing anything, but counting them does in your overall allotment. If you counted all the fiber in an avocado you'd use up a lot of carb credits for absolutely nothing.

I am trying to really watch ratios and calculating all my protein/carb/fat grams so the net carbs thing is really important.

I'm currently counting all carbs and net carbs so I can compare them with the responses in my blood sugar I'm finding some discrepancies in how my body processes carbs and want as much info as possible. Some foods that are supposed to be high in fibre dont give the results im expecting- my body seems to get more carbs from them than it should. I'm also finding differences in cooked and uncooked vegetables . Its really interesting actually
