    Primal Fuel
Italian pot roast (2/3) and 1/2 an order of firesticks (I know, I was bad. But I'm officially on vacation, so a little cheating is allowable.)

Was on the road to Dallas for 6 hrs yesterday. No true meals, grazed the entire trip. I finished off the whipped heaven ( 1.5 c) and berries (1/4 c blueberries, 1/4 c cherries with pits) before I left. During the ride I had 4 hard cooked eggs, 9 slices bacon, 7-9 handfuls of a trail mix I made, 1/2 c cherries, and 1/2 oz jerky. The trail mix was a mix of almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistachios, raisins, dried cranberries, dates, and dried coconut. 1 handful usually came out to around: 1 almond, 2 walnuts, 4 pistachios, 1 pecan, 1 raisin, 1 cranberry, 1/4 date, 3-4 coconut flakes, which makes it (worst case is 10): 10 almonds, 20 walnuts, 40 pistachios, 10 pecans, 15 raisins, 12 cranberries, 5 dates, 40 coconut flakes. Pretty bad, but it could definitely be worse. My husband was eating my favorite variety of doritos.

    Total:
    cal: 1902
    Prot:74
    carb:90
    fat: 146
    missing micros: folate 40%, thiamine 6%, niacin 20%, Vit c 88%, Vit D 42%, vit E 49%, Vit k 81%, calcium 67%, Iron 55%, Potassium 150% (counter salt in bacon) O3: O6:: 1:6
It seems rather consistent that I need B and calcium vitamins. I'd say potassium, but 3% a pill isn't worth the trip to the store.

Knowing you, you punched him in the face.

But to be honest your trailmix sounds tastier than doritos. Doritos are gross!

Had a chai latte today. Relax, I told them just make the tea in steamed milk. No sugar crap. With that 1 oz asiago, 1/2 oz cheddar, 1 oz brie, 1 beef patty, 1 chix drumstick, 3 tomato slices, 3 asadero slices, 1/4 c broccoli, 1/4 c cuke slices, 1 c blackberries, pineapple, and strawberries. Some sort of (probably sugared, I didn't think about it until just now) strawberry mint limeade that my father made (10 oz at most).

Yesterday I went to Scarborugh Renaissance Festival. I damn near sweated to death in my velvet costume, was highly envious of all the women in belly dance costumes. I walked for nearly 5 hours straight, ate steak on a stake (3-4 oz sirloin), stirfry (3 oz beef, 5 oz mixed mushroom, radicchio, carrot, celery), 2 bottles of water, and 2 strawberry Italian Ice thingies served on orange halves. We went to an Indian food restaurant and ate from their buffet. Everything was authentic, no extraneous salt, sugar, or MSG. Has 1/4 cup chicken tikka masala, 1/4 cup goat in a red sauce, 3 mixed veggie dumplings, 3 beef kebabs, 1/2 c tomato coconut soup, 1/8 c spinch with yogurt cheese, 1/4 c chicken 65, a sorry 1 c salad, 2 honey dumpling things (I was curious and it'd be my only chance for quite a while to try it, the dumpling were maybe 1/5" in diameter), and 1/4 c Indian rice pudding (I love the stuff and can't get it in Odessa/ Midland (thank the gods.)) I was stuffed to the gills, but it was oh, so good.

Sorry, Meaty, no photos on the web. I may post one later of myself in my swimsuit. I feel damn good about my body today.
Anywho, yesterday I spent to majority of the day trying to shop. "Trying" being the operative word because I was with my mother and our takes on many things, including clothing, can be night and day. And I was trying to get her to pick out a mother's day gift (lemme alone, I told her about doing this on mother's day), but she can never be bothered to actually pick something out, so I keep having to pick up something I know'd look good on her and ask her. I need to shop for work clothes (still) because yesterday I was too damn busy trying to get her to PICK SOMETHING. Not to mention I'm always stressed out around my mother because of things that happened when I was younger (you could never upset her or do anything to mess with her happy mood for fear of a suicide attempt or her abandoning the family for a few hours/ months.)
After that made me into a ball of nerves, I try to go to dinner at my favorite Italian joint in Dallas (Campisi's) with just my father, sister, might- as- well- be- uncle, and husband, but of course my mother had to show up. So I was still on damage control and couldn't really relax. Enjoyed the hell out of my homemade Italian sausage, bell peppers, spinach sauteed in garlic olive oil, and minestrone soup though.
My mother left and the rest of us went to an old favorite bar, The Barley House. I had a Smithwick's and FINALLY started winding down. We sat and talked for over 2 hrs, then we split up so everyone else could get some sleep. My husband and I were still too happy and such to just go back to the hotel, so we wandered over to West Village and had some Pinkberry; I had a medium Mango with chocolate shavings, coconut, strawberries, and blueberries. I want a Pinkberry in Odessa/ Midland. That was actually good froyo.
We ate that, then went to the hotel and vegged for a while, then passed out.

WHAT...I didn't see the giant turkey leg or the King's Nuts on that list! I went out the weekend before and had the turkey leg and another one for good measure and walked for about 5 hours as well. My boys nailed me in "daddy's nuts" as a strategy for downing an opponent larger than themselves. I think it started off as them not being able to raise the sword much higher than that level...which resulted in breathless, dizzying and nauseous guttural utterances escaping my lips. The boys saw that as desirable and always first went for "daddy's nuts" and then followed up by laughing heartily when the Queen saw them and made some lewd comment that would make a sailor blush...or a daddy who just had his nuts mashed.

Glad you had a great time. I especially love the belly dancer costumes...although, some of the belly dancers should really reconsider their costume choice. Oh, and what is it with all the 18th Century pirates and goth's? I could accept 14th to 17th Century pirates, but when you dress like Captain Hook or Jack Sparrow during a Renaissance Faire...it just looks odd...unless you suspend disbelief. Talking about suspending disbelief, I even saw some dude in tights that resembled a member of poison rather than a renaissance character. Even saw Conan out there. Oh, and a fairy prince[es]. I'm pretty sure it was a dude dressed up like a fairy.

    Good times.
