I give up, I'm waving the white flag! 2 pastries in and all I can think about is a salad with steak and over easy eggs on top... And I feel downright foul, so this experiment is over.

Some times being a quitter isn't a bad thing.

A naiad is a water nymph, so I thought the title fitting.

No worries. I figured that's what it was. Mine dysnumeria kicks in at bad times, so I can relate.

I know the feeling on washing out friends on unintentional acid tests. I had 4 best friends and we all played guitars together, smoked cigars, drank, wrote songs, etc. but we all faded away. I made the decision to get in the best shape of my life and as I did I got more and more attention from different ladies...including two of theirs. The more I pushed away the advances, the more they drove a wedge between my friends and I. I got invited over less and less and eventually was told that one of their wives couldn't stop talking about me and it made him too nervous to have me around. It really hurt my feelings to be pushed away like that and I have been a little more stand-offish with new friends. I try to especially watch any wrong signals I may be sending to friends wives and girlfriends...but it is quite exhausting and tempting when someone hits on you so strongly. Anyway, I know our friends have washed out for different reasons, but the end result and corresponding feelings just suck.

I fell off. Big time. And I'm feeling it. It's hard to stay on the damn wagon when every asshole on the face of the goddamn planet is waving the crack in your face. I'm tryin the rubber band trick, and it's working... SLLLLLOOOOWWWWLLLYYYY........... It doesn't help that I live in BFE nowhere and it's hard as hell to find something that's not on top of, covered in, wrapped in, stuffed with, or filled with grains at a restaurant. If I can find that, I'm hungry two hours later because it was half of what the dish was meant to be. Where the hell'd my willpower go? *Checks under futon* It must have ran away with my sense of distaste for the crap. I still see it as filler, it's like eating cardboard to make the hunger go away. Except I should eat the real food. Good luck finding real butter at a restaurant around here to fill in the gap.... i know, I should make my own food more often, but I'm so damn tired after working a 10- 12 hour shift and then having to keep the house close to neat (I'm breaking a desperately needed cleaning spurt in chunks so I can do it after work) that eating becomes a "what's available that doesn't take much effort?" Summer's hit West TX full force, and I've hit my summer eating full force. I should just start moving my only meal to dinner. I've gotten to where one meal a day is plenty. Time to start not eating lunch. Maybe that's why I eat so crappy. I'm not actually listening to what my body wants.

Experiment the 2nd: selenium and magnesium pills. I always crave seafood and I always have a brain fog. I did some research and discovered it could be a deficiency in those two. Hence, the experiment.
Lunch was Thai pork, chicken, beef, and shrimp salad, hold the soy. Pretty tasty, given that it could've use more spice. I actually listened to my body and stopped before I finished shoveling the whole thing in my maw.... There was only a quarter of the plate left and my intellect was yelling "FINISH HIM!" while my belly was saying "No, I'm quite comfy, thank you." I listened to my belly.

Visited several citizens who complained about stormwater. Walked at least a mile in heels. Walked around stores for at least an hour and a half last night.
