Thankfully, there's no food in my office. I'm bored as hell between projects right now.

I hope you noted the silliness in my 'voice' when I said don't talk to me about cold. I actually don't mind the cold here as much as I have in other places. I mean I live near Fairbanks, AK I can't complain about the cold....lol

I have never done a 24 hour fast. I don't think I would unless it felt natural to me at the time.

Meg- i didn't catch that at all. I read it as indignant. Oops. The fast is what feels right today. I usually eat lunch, because that's the only way I can get my carbs and cals where they need to be, but today seems to want to be a reset day, so I'll let it. Makes sense come to think of it. My internal thermostat finally kicked over to winter at lunch and my brain seems to be in kinda that overly energetic yet spacey mode I only know as "mental reboot." Clearing the cache, clearing cookies and mental sticky notes, etc.

ETA- For those with scars (external), may I recommend Mederma? Because that stuff absolutely rocks! Even with my less than stellar application rate of "whenever I remember to," my burn scars on my inner forearm and my road rash scar on my inner knee are going away (color wise, I'm not sure abt texture wise.) I'm sure they'd go away quicker if I put it on every day (or the 4 times a day it calls for), but even at every other day, after two weeks it's definitely a VERY noticeable difference.

Next time I get 'indignant' in a silly fashion I will remember to add some sort of smiley to remind folks that I am always a bit nutty

I understand about the mental re-boot. I don't know that i have ever tested to see how long I could go without food. It might be an endeavor for the week after Thanksgiving.

Where did you get it? I would like to pick some up for my daughter's ACL surgery scars. Maybe I'll find it this weekend while I'm in Michigan.

Dinner: bacon wrapped chicken thighs stuffed with tomato, chipotle puree, green bell, and green beans. Salad: romaine, broccoli, green beans, tomato, and apple with caesar dressing. Not even 700 cal, barely 30 carbs, but good for a reset day. figuring I'll finish off that apple (if Geek doesn't first) and have a square of 90% later tonight.

The longest I've been able to fast is like 20 hours. I'm totally impressed

Well, if you count nibbling (MAYBE 10 cal total) while chopping veggies, I made it 23 hrs. If you don't, I made it 25.5.
Company Thanksgiving party tonight. yayyyy *waves flag* I'm never to enthused abt company parties to begin with, and one held in a small town where everyone knows everyone else (except me and the other 3 employees not from here), it's liable to be boring as hell. Oh well. Go, make nice with the natives, try to have fun without wierding them out too badly.
