3. I say do it! No harm in that at all and you might actually feel awesome.
4. Eat a snack before bed for sure. Fat, salt and sugar is the perfect combo for a good sleep.
I might go for the fruit and yogurt thing since it's all I've been craving. Should I stick to 0% fat, or go for 2% or full-fat? Which fruits would be optimal for this, just whatever I want? Should I include things like raw cacao powder, dark chocolate, matcha ... or just do strictly fruit/yogurt?
Gosh, I'm so sorry I keep asking you so many questions! You're like an encyclopedia. En-Zach-lopedia? lol.
So sad. All the fruit looked pitiful at the market last night. I bought tiny white peaches and ate four of them today. Poor little things probably traveled 300000 miles to get here. This shitty NY weather is depressing. Going to be awhile before anything s in season.
If anyone eats berries, try this and thank me later: frozen blueberries in a bowl; add sugar and goat's milk, mix and let sit for a few minutes before nomming. Turns the milk purple as an added bonus.
Go with a 2%. Yea whatever your craving is fine. You could add some chocolate or whatever for variety and magnesium/zinc. Just play around with it and go with cravings.
Thats why i started this journal, ask whatever you want!
Entry - Peach, i could eat a peach for hours...
10am - Juice (6oranges, 1/2 lime, lots of mint, 3 celery) - Mint makes everything taste better.
11am - 2 large potatoes turned into hashbrowns, 3 eggs. coffee+
12am - 4 peaches, so fucking good.
3pm - 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 apples, 2 peaches. Coffee+
7pm - 2 chicken legs, 10 smallish potatoes, baked and heavily salted. Coffee+
For anyone who cares, i dont drink coffee for the caffeine, just for the supposed health benefits and blocking iron. I dont even feel the caffeine anymore.
Took some pictures for YB and anyone else who cares, of course. First is the juice from above and my juicer. Pretty basic but i love that thing, best $50 investment ever.
These two are from yesterday, found someplace i have never been to which is always awesome. Way out in the woods, there must have been a road at one time. Found a ton of old glass bottles and coffee cans by this bridge. Was hoping to find some coins, haha. Also we had a flood last year and you can see the massive damage it did to the river.
These are from today. This is a place called Chester Bowl which is located in the middle of town and there is actually a small ski hill here. Pretty awesome spot. The kid and I climbed this ski jump hill, the ski jumps arent in use anymore unfortunately. And yes, we still dont have leaves on our trees, wtf.
Fug... so beautiful man.
I agree with Zach, regarding calories. I think, balancing calories with metabolic rate is important. Calories are necessary from the right sources for progesterone production, among many things, especially for minimizing stress from exercise.
Perhaps, try low dose t3, cutting fat more(only using it for supplementation for intestinal health, something like 5% of your calories, maybe some coconut oil for metabolic rate) and getting high protein/carbs. 60/35/5 or something.
Diet of oj, low fat milk, coffee, oysters, and eggs with liver 2x a month never did anyone wrong. Salt stuff too.
If you can't do milk, I suggest trying to mix it with simple sugars in order to better digest it. Dunno if you've tried that yet.
Tired eyes, like our tired lives
Wow, that's an amazing playground you've got there! Nice photos!
Zach: do you think that my anxiety stems from undereating? I never thought I'd need that many calories to function properly... I used to eat way less than I do now, though. I've come a long way from restricting to 600-900 a day. I'll try to increase my intake more! Oh, and, I don't exercise every single day, maybe 4-5 days a week usually.
Derpamix: Do you think I should take t3 without getting my bloodwork done first? I was going to get my hormones checked out anyway because of my anxiety and skin problems. I never drink OJ or cow's milk, but I do consume coffee and seafood regularly. Most of the time, I only do egg whites, and I've never had liver before in my life! It scares me :/ silly I know!
I don't really like cow's milk all that much so I never buy it, but I do like yogurt, is that just as good? I can digest dairy pretty well, I think.
Okay, this is a weird question, but do either of you guys know why I get hungry after eating apples? It doesn't matter if I eat apples by themselves, with another carb, with fat, or with protein. They make me feel even more hungry, no matter how much I'd eaten before that. Is there any reason for this? I love apples, but I know if I eat one, I get false hunger signals being sent to my brain for the rest of the day, or until I eat something else. Does this make any sense at all?!
Amazing pics Zach! There's something so beautiful and wistful about places that time forgot.
I knew that my ED was ruining my life, but I didn't realise how much. I think this is the first time in my life that I'm actually feeling good without any external stimuli (no clubbing / sex / fad interest to channel my energy into and give me a temporary boost).
I know you asked Derp, but personally I don't think anyone should take stuff like that without getting bloodwork done first. If you actually had hyperthyroidism it might help, but other that it will disrupt your hormones and you won't know where things lay before you started supplementing. Thyroid disfunctions are often symptoms of other problems, but anyway, you don't seem to have any hypothryoid symptoms.Do you think I should take t3 without getting my bloodwork done first? I get that too! When I was underweight I lived on apples, but I would need to eat six to get any kind of satiation. Never eat them now - they're pretty much the worst fruit to eat in terms of pesticides I think. Not that it should put you off them if you love them! But now I just eat fruit I really like, instead of one that gave me the 'crunch' and I believed was low cal...Okay, this is a weird question, but do either of you guys know why I get hungry after eating apples? "I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.
In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."
