I don't miss egg whites eaten solo, but I do miss scrambled whole eggs. I could eat them every meal. The yolks are kind of rich to be sustainable at this level. But hey, none of us will keep this up very long, will we?

I think it is intended to be a 4 week experiment for all of us. Some of us might decide to revisit it.

If I did decide to repeat, I would have to decide what sort of break to take before starting over.

The guy on the blog who did steak and eggs for 2 months drank red wine daily and did serious cheating 3 times a week. I think that's the wrong way to go about it. No way could I stick to a diet if I was drinking wine every day.

It's my birthday today. I'm 58. Down since the first day of the diet: 4.2 pounds. It's been more than a couple of decades that I've weighed this little.

Lunch looked extra good today. Even the meat sitting on the cutting board looked so appetizing. So I took extra photos.

10oz sirloin tips, 6 yolk omelet with an extra tablespoon of butter.

    It tasted extra good, too.

I butterflied a couple of pieces of meat and pounded them into cutlets.

Served with sunny-side up egg yolks.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Katherine. I have just eaten my breakfast (two lovely meaty sausages and a slice of crispy bacon) but now feel I could easily eat one of your steaks! They look fantastic as do you! I am on my first few days and you are very inspiring. Note to self: pop over to the butchers at lunchtime to see what steaks they have as I can see that I will be wanting some for my supper too.
