Today I'm starting what I'm calling the "Butter 30". Originally I'd planned to do the Whole30 but I realized that the purpose of my experiment isn't to tackle possible food allergies but to avoid "addictive" food. So with this in mind the objective is to eliminate sugar, grains and all dairy except butter and double cream but I won't be too bothered about trace amounts of stuff in otherwise OK food.
Also going to stay low carb (only consume starch/fruit after extended exercise) for the period since I've never stayed low-carb for that long. I've been critical of low-carb before but I'm curious as to the long-term effects.
Plan is to eat two meals a day (I despise breakfast) with no more than 400 g of meat per day in total. I don't have a 'fat target' but just going to keep it generally high with plenty of fatty meat, butter and cream for sauces etc.
Wish me luck!
Good luck. I hope you get the results you're looking for.
