Mostly just a sense of doing right by my health and by the planet. Every week that goes by, I give less of my money to BigFood, and more to local family farms. The foods I eat are clean, and my conscience is clear. If I get all skinny and pretty doing it, cool, but it's not remotely a goal. I felt fine eating crap; I feel better eating non-crap.

Who says back fat is a bad thing? Maybe on a hairy guy at the beach, but not on a crab.
I lost a hundred and forty pounds and consider a four-mile walk an easy start to the day.
I used to get chronic sinus headaches and intense pressure, but those vanished with the weight.
I feel more at home in the world, knowing I'm a part of it.
