Fat to Protein Ratio Advice
I thought Mark's recent post was good on grams of protein per pound of body weight. I am an athlete and work out so I try and get in at least 160 grams of protein for my 160 lbs. I don't really follow the fat as much though. I eat fat with every meal. If I eat beef I won't add any fat, but if I have a lean protein like chicken or fish I'll add an avocado, some nuts, or fry it in coconut oil to get the fat in. It works for me, but I don't really measure or track the intake and want to make sure I'm getting enough.
I am looking for some general guidelines of grams of fat for the amount of protein I am consuming. Such as 3:1, 2:1, or 1:1 protein to fat ratio.
