Just watched all 3 parts. I think they did a really good job! I think Dr. Oz is a quack, always promoting the newest diet craze or beauty product - but this was a really good segment on Paleo. If it weren't for having to give up all dairy I'd be 100% paleo instead of Primal.
I like how she emphasized A PALM SIZED piece of protein - NOT an ALL YOU CAN EAT thing. I will definitely be keeping that point in the forefront as I'm plating my meals.

Darn, I missed this. I watched another Doctor Oz show several months ago when Lyn Genet was on. I was convinced that she had something with her "reactive foods" approach. So convinced that I bought her book and started in earnest to test out her theory. After 3 days of eating nothing but seeds and vegetables, my husband and I were at each others throats and we wanted to kill each other. It was awful! I said, "I'm not a bird, screw this, we're going paleo."
I had tried way back in 2003 to get my family to eat paleo, but it was just too foreign then and not enough good recipes. I'm so thankful that I found Marks Daily Apple to help jump start us to a healthy lifestyle. I love the common sense approach to eating and living.
Not enough good recipes... but it's food.

very interesting watch. DD1 actually gave me Nell Stephensons book for christmas - but I never read it !!!!!!!!
am I sad or what...... guess what I will be reading today !!!!!!!!

I've not read her book either. Think I might eventually. I don't agree with her 3 cheat meals per week guideline, but if that helps people adjust to paleo, so be it for them.
