Coconut milk/heavy cream substitute?
Any substitution advice for someone who HATES the taste of coconut, but is afraid to add dairy back into my diet? I adore the taste of heavy cream, and was so excited at the thought of it being a healthy addition to my diet again, but I hear people talking about how it makes them gain and don't want to go down that road.
Almond milk? It doesn't have the fat but it might work for coffee.
You can make almond cream by blending 2 ounces by weight of almonds per cup of water and filtering it. Cashew cream does not even need to be filtered.
