    How to gain weight going Primal

    Hi everybody,

    I'm brand new to the Primal living lifestyle. I am 6'3 and thin at 164lbs. I tried the Paleo diet for about a week last year and lost 5lbs so I figured I could not afford to lose any weight so I quit. If anybody has tips on how to put on some muscle it would be very much appreciated.

    1. Eat more meat and other animal protein.
    2. Eat more energy calories, including good fats, root vegetables, rice, and fruit.
    3. Lift weights.

    Don't skimp on potatoes, rice, fruit, fruit juice, coconut oil, butter, cheese, tapioca, and all other delicious things things.

    Lift heavy objects to work up an appetite.

    Chug cartons of heavy cream.

    Eat plates of sweet potatoes.

    Plus the usual meat and vegi.

    Coconut ^ and tubers. Buttery sweet potatoes, good cheese -all high fat dairy really, avocado. And start lifting; your appetite wil increase like you've become some kind of beast. (:

    I've heard dairy maintains weight and I've found it to be true for myself.
    Grains are designed for weight gain. I don't even eat the rice because it's empty calories.

    But otherwise, you shouldn't be losing weight on Paleo. It isn't a weight loss diet, although it can be structured for weight loss.
