Not so new... but done lurking

    Hi all,
I've been lurking (gosh, I hate that word, but I suppose it fits) for about two years now, and flirting with primal living off and on, actually more on than off. I've decided to get serious about primal, and am in the middle of a whole30. Already feeling a whole lot better, and noticing a lot more mental clarity.

In a lot of ways, I'm very fortunate: I work from home, have an incredibly supportive boyfriend, live in walkable n'hoods, fresh produce is readily available.

Here's what I've been up to so far:
I've been gluten-free for over two years.
I've been creating a pinterest board over the last yr or so, with inspirations.
Have also just ordered a cow-share and organic chicken package.
I've been making chicken stock (with the feet) and rendering lard.
And my life-style is pretty Grok-ish, although walking is my main exercise.

As for drawbacks, I have lymphedema in my left leg, so exercising is tough.

So here's the initial info, answering as if the whole30 were already done.

    The Questions:

Your location: Toronto, ON/ San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

    Age (If you want): 54

    How Primal are you: 90%

    Do you consume dairy: rarely

Do you drink coffee or tea: coffee, with coconut oil

Motivator for switching to Primal: Feeling better

    Favorite exercise: Walking

    Favorite Primal food: meat borscht

Best part about being Primal: It's simple!

Worst part about being Primal: Sharing meals with people who don't get it. (If I cook, it's fine, but eating at restaurants or at others' homes can be rocky.)

    Hasta Luego, Sara

    Gracias, Hedonist2 and Prince.

I'm halfway thru my whole30, and feeling noticeably healthier, esp in the mental clarity dept. I guess I wasn't as primal as I thought I was

Considering all the time I've spent in Mexico, it's sad that my Spanish isn't any better. I did take a course on the preterite this winter, so now I'm a woman with a past...

    Hasta luego,
    Sara
