I think those fractures are common among the elderly, but there's really not enough data to compare it to what others eat when they fall off of their bicycles at 80 years old. Also depends on the impact of the crash; the speed, other objects, etc. My grandmother tripped and shattered her shoulder when she was only 68 and it was a short tumble. She's also a 35-year cancer survivor, smoker, had brain surgery to remove a benign tumor 2 years ago, and gave birth to 6 children, but her diet is horrendous and includes things like Kool-Aid. So there's that.
