    After reading Irongirl's thread I decided to measure my waist and use that as a goal post.

    Its 36", it used to be 29"



    So, I'm going to go for 33" for goal #1!

    I've had a long long week with my partner in hospital and then the in-laws coming to visit.

    I had to drink. G&Ts were definitely required.

    Just finished up with the personal trainer, it turns out I was mistaken and my squats were actually 40kg (88lbs). We worked on figuring a one rep maximum and maxed out at also 40kg. Very happy with that.
    Starting waist measurement: 36". Current 35". First Goal 33".
    Starting backsquat: 50lbs. Current squat: 132lbs.

    Nice! I find it more satisfying to see inches melting away, plus the weight on the scale isn't really that important health-wise, but visceral fat can be a huge health risk, so I like focusing on trying to get myself out of the danger zone (i.e., under 35"). You're only 1" away from a healthy waist circumfrance, that's great!
    I feed my healthy cells and starve the rest.

    Waist circumference:
    50(start)/40.5(current)/35>(goal)

    Thanks Iron Girl I hadn't thought of it that way.

    I ended up having some KILLER sugar cravings yesterday and "someone" had eaten all my dark chocolate so I satiated myself with dates and figs. Could be worse I hope?

    I also tried systema - russian martial art - yesterday for the first time and really enjoyed it. Something about rolling around and knowing how to defend yourself makes me happy, and I think its crucial for any woman to know how to have some defensive abilities.

    Oooh I also tried kale, its an acquired taste I think, but its growing on us....
