The OP says weight loss depends on lowering carbs, not calories. The OP is wrong. Dead thread.

Low carb may make it easier for many to stay within their calorie limit because protein and fat are more satiating than carbs, but there's still a limit.

I ate zero carbs for several weeks while doing an elimination diet and I gained fat. Doesn't work for everyone.

I thought this was a paleo forum and we all knew it was white-carbs driving fat accumulation; lower your carbs to 50g and you lose weight no matter your calorie intake or calorie expenditure.
Yeah, dream on, either you are trolling or you should go back to school again...

    Ultra-polarizing strident declaratives incoming:
As an observation, CICO is fine.
As a master control lever, it's busted.

In my case, modest surplus/deficit will affect my mood and spontaneity short-term, but has no long-term effects. Major surplus/deficit such as travel will show on the scale but never lasts. The only time I see a permanent effect is when I add or remove types of food or activity. How I wish it were as simple as "learn how to burn 1 pound, then rinse and repeat"...

Calories matter and the quality of the calories matter. So it's not cut carbs and automatically lose weight no matter how many calories. It's also not eat all the white sugar you want as long as you're in a calorie deficit either. I did the latter and broke myself pretty bad, not to mention I still didn't end up a bikini model.

I find that when my surplus calories in are cream and chocolate, my body upregulates temperature to increase calories out.

The downside of this is that the kids want to crawl into bed with me at night since I'm like a giant hottie.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

it would be direct communication cuz op is talking out his/her ass.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.
