    Pastured Cream Equivalent to Beef Fat

    Is this accurate? For the past few weeks I've been pretty much doing one meal per day of meat and veggies, but in the late morning/early afternoon I have about a cup of heavy whipping cream (grass fed, organic, pasture-raised, all the good stuff) mixed with almond milk to make it last longer.

    I've heard that grass fed heavy cream is essentially equivalent to good old, healthy animal fat... and behaves like animal fat in your system, rather than behaving like dairy (since all the sugars and proteins have been removed). Is this false? Am I sabotaging myself bigtime? (I keep my macros in check and my calories where they should be...)

    I do the same, makes me feel great! I put 2 or 3 cracked nuts and a couple of berries in my delicious and nutritious

    Yes, this is false.

    Interesting... in terms of how it behaves in the body though, is there a huge difference? In other words, animal fat is considered immensely healthy... is the same true of heavy cream?

    I'm sure it's helping you through the day, since the cream alone is over 800 calories, with almond milk added it's probably over 1000.

    Not to be a dick, but you're not eating one meal a day.

    Heavy cream in moderation is a good source of fat, maybe even a bit better than coconut milk since there are no carbs for the carbo-phobic. But in the dosages you're consuming, it's probably not doing you any favours.

    It actually could be helping though.

    It's a 0% carb 100% energy meal and if consumed in the morning (like the poster is doing) it's 18hrs of carb-fasting where the body is using dietary fat / body fat as fuel.

    When I did keto, routinely 1/2 cup with greens and bone broth, etc. to equal about a full cup. Now I'm lazier and drink coconut milk more often than not, but, yes, I can easily digest at least 1/2 cup of pure liquid tallow.
    Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.
