    Zoi Greek Yogurt?

    I found this at a nearby store, but I don't know whether I should purchase it ... here are the ingredients:

    Traditional Plain Zoi Greek Yogurt Quarts

    Why is there cream in the yogurt?

    There's cream in that yogurt because that's how the manufacturer achieves stable fat percentage -- by combining proper amounts of skim milk and cream to get to whatever fat % it wants. That's very common in dairy products.

    I'd be more suspicious of milk protein concentrate, but all in all this looks like your normal dairy product, nothing out of ordinary...

    Yeah, it's just that I need to spend my dining account money ... and this is the only plain one that looks decent.

    There's a chobani fat free one ... but I don't think I should go for that, right? For some reason, it didn't even show vitamin D on the nutrient label? How is there 0 percent vitamin D?! o.O

    Well, if it's me I will not buy it. If you get chance to make you own homemade yogurt, you will never go back to buy the store bought.
    You can strain the homemade plain yogurt to Greek yogurt. I took some of my own made to my office, those ladies said it tasted like real yogurt no corn starch, Lol. That's true. All I had over there were milk and yogurt starter (from the last time batch).
    Also it is save money.

    This. Invest in a yogurt maker, some culture, and a bottle of grass fed cream. You can thank us later!

    I don't have any yogurt maker, I just use containers or jars. The yogurt starter was from Danono plain yogurt that I bought from Walmart, and I saved a small bottle of yogurt when every times making for my next batch. I have one cooler to keep the temperature. But I do have a yogurt cheese maker, that because I don't really like to use cheese cloth.

    I think I already "eat" them back from all the time I am making it by myself.

    I'm gonna have to get me one of those! I always have whey getting in the way of my creme bulgare.
