Olive oil is fine. Most of us use it. Coconut oil is miraculous. Start here.

From what I saw there...lard is good and cheapest for cooking?
Coconut oil has medium chain triglycerides which can readily cross the blood brain barrier. So basically, it is direct food for your brain (theres a little more complexity to it, but thats really what it comes down to). Also it tastes amazing!
And lard is really great also, deffinitely cheaper but it doesn't have any of the medium chain triglycerides.
