While I am no longer VLC, I started off doing a VLC/keto style diet. I had read Protein Power and Atkins before getting into the whole paleo/primalsphere and both those plans are VLC at first. I just stayed in it for longer because I was doing well on it. I lost weight easily and had minimal hunger and cravings. It worked for me while I was doing it, so I guess that's how I decided it was for me. I didn't do any exercise when I was doing VLC/keto.
