    Oh, the macs are definitely pricey here too. They are a rare treat I tend to use cashews most of the time when I make this now.

    You could definitely cook low and slow or try a dehydrator like lemontwisst said. I have not tried either method so I couldn't say for how long though. If anyone does try it one of these ways I would love to hear about the results.
