IFing Fitness, Paleo... do I really need to watch my macros?

Basically wondering if I'm IFing, making sure my calories are high (to gain weight- looking to gain weight in muscle specifically), making sure I'm getting adequate protein, and moving every day- do I really need to watch my macros to see results?

The macros I'm supposed to be on for IF are a bit weird, for me. I always it or go over my protein (which is fine, I'm not complaining about that), but in terms of fat (can also easily hit it, but I go over usually... problem?), and carbs (I can't eat enough of them- I get WAY too full..)... what do I do? Does it make a huge difference? I remember reading somewhere about how IF macros are a bit different on Paleo- as in, carbs are usually slightly lower because of no grains. I'm not about to stuff my face with 5 sweet potatoes in order to get my carbs, so my question is whether the macros make a difference, and whether it is indeed different on Paleo.

I know I rambled a bit. Thank you in advance.

No point really in IFing if you are trying to gain weight/ muscle. Just lift heavy twice a week and eat as many carbs as you are able.

To clarify- I'm following LeanGains IF system, those were the macros I was referring too. Should have added it before.

If you also need to gain body fat, then why are you following LeanGains protocol? Not necessary, IMO.

To gain muscle- weighs more than body fat, though I'm interested in gaining both.

Leangains is mostly for people who want to lose fat while gaining muscle. That's Martin Berkhan's specialty.

I agree with other posters. No need for a restricted eating window. You should feel free to space your meals over three meals throughout the day.

Usually skip breakfast, that's about it. I take in about between 2500and 3500 calories a day. I'm ignoring some of the LeanGains info- like calories.
