Well... I don't. Just eat butter. :P
I cook with it, or I put it on vegetables. Usually, spices are involved.

On food or mixed in something. Never on it's own. Yuck.
I'm not going to lie- sometimes I nibble straight off the stick. I try not to though. But it happens. Generally I agree that butter should be mainly used for cooking or as veggie lube.
See how those bricks of Kerrygold fit right into your hand? Snack on.
Eating butter is old school, now todays people are drinking it with some MCT oil in their morning coffee!
I sautee food in it.
Sometimes if I'm having a particularly lean cafo steak, i like to spread KerryGold butter on it.
Over steamed veggies and baked potatoes.
Use it in recipes like banana bread.
Make ghee once in a while.
That about sums it up for me. I'm not really a heavy butter user.

Compound butters on a good steak are amazeballs. And I see vegetables as nothing but brightly colored butter-delivery vehicles. I also occasionally snack on it straight (cut into thin slices with a sprinkle of pink Himalayan sea salt) if a meal is a bit light in fat. Kerrygold goes on sale regularly and there's rarely less than 3 lbs (6 packages) in my freezer at any given time.
My kids eat it straight.
I usually use it to add fat to a meal.
