Thanks for all the answers everyone!

Sooo... apart from white being delicious, the only thing it has to offer is that it's easy to digest? Maybe that's why I crave it... I do have GI issues.
"I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.

In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."

Have you tried to mix white rice with potatoes? Fast energy from the rice, and long lasting stable energy from the potatoes, a very good carb combo IMO...

Oh yeah! Thai green curry - meat, veg, potatoes, rice, coconut, spices.... all your most crucial food groups

Tuna is not the only sushi fish you know.

For that matter, sushi doesn't need to contain rice.

Hey, I think sushi actually means sticky rice. It doesn't have to have raw fish in it. I've seen people render it with just cucumber, rice, seaweed, and avocado.
