    Hair Oil

I don't shampoo or condition my hair, and I absolutely LOVE the body and texture of my hair when it is in its natural state.

    Here's my problem...

I also love having pink hair. That means about once a month I go to my stylist and she colors my hair- complete with a shampoo.

    Ugh.

It takes about a week to get my hair back to its natural texture, and it drives me CRAZY all the while. Any suggestions on what I can use on my hair to either stimulate the natural oils, or to simulate them until my scalp does its thing?

Coconut and olive oils are a no go. They're too greasy and make my hair look yucky.

Have you ever tried doing an egg treatment? I'm also no shampoo/conditioner right now, and on one of the 'not washing hair' threads, someone recommended this. I tried it once (whipped up an egg, worked it through my hair, let it sit awhile, then rinsed out with water). Felt pretty good.

Also, I haven't yet tried this myself, but I read about a banana milk hair mask on Crunchy Betty that sounded killer:

I haven't. I'm not trying to get my hair clean or anything. The opposite in fact. I need to grease it up a little, without it being oily.

I use a mix of egg yolks and coconut cream on my hair. The coconut cream has the oils in it but not so oily as the straight CO. There is also a lot of fat in the yolks.

Argan Oil works Realllly well ... Not cheap but it only takes a lil bit.
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

I have the same problem (only mine is purple). I use a small amount of almond oil, like 4-5 drops smoothed over but keep it away from my scalp. I still takes several days to recover, but it's not as dry and frizzy.

Does your stylist have to 'poo to dye? I mean, will your hair's oils interfere with the process? You could ask her to try just putting the dye in your hair and then rinsing it out...once. To see what happens.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

Oh I wish. Even with shampooing, I'm getting pink residue for several days afterwards, and the stuff stains anything and everything it comes into contact with. (Not to mention we have to bleach out my hair before making it pink.)
