    Day 7

    Primal Fuel
    Hi again,

    Had a better nights sleep last night, so woke up feeling good.

    Breakfast: leftover chopped lamb and a fried egg on a bed of spinach. Pinch of pepper.

    Late lunch: usual Fry-up. (what? I like it!)

    4:30pm: I had my first cup of turmeric tea, and I really liked it. I think I'll be drinking it more often.
    Oh, and earlier on I had a cup of regular tea. Both with almond milk and half a teaspoon of honey.

    Late dinner(8:45pm) Just under one piece of steak. Which is pathetic. I intend to find something else, soon. It'll be primal, don't worry!

    Exercise: 1 set of ten push-ups. And from 6-8:00pm I had some intense karate training, which contains some of the most gruelling exercises know to Man.

    Notes:

    I'm going to continue my facial honey cleanse, for my acne, but with manuka honey.

    Day 8

    Hi all.

    Breakfast: one strip of bacon and a fried egg on a bed of spinach.

    Then I had 2 cups of tea, one of them with a teaspoon of butter. Yum!
    About an hour later I had a cup of ginger tea. 4 or 5 thin slices of ginger steeped in boiling water, with a small tsp of honey. Never had it before, and I quite liked it. However, I would like it to be a bit stronger. Maybe I should try cutting the ginger into smaller pieces? Or boiling them?

    So, I've had a bit more honey then I usually do.

    Lunch: a salad with spinach, chopped tomato, chopped pastrami and drizzled with olive oil.

    Dinner: I had Usual Fry-up, but added ginger. I think I like ginger!
    Plus 3 walnuts, and 2 dates. As a sort of dessert.

    Later on I might have a cup of turmeric tea (with no honey). It might help me sleep.

    Exercise: 1 or 2 sets of 15 pushups, and a 2.4 km walk.

    Day 9

    Hi all.

    I'm not going to write about my lunch or my dinner, today.
    I need to confess the bad things I've eaten. There are a few of them.

    Some people get carb flu when transitioning. I don't get that, instead I'm constipated for a week, then I have a day or so of diarrhea.
    Well, today was the bathroom day. I'm glad it's over, that my body has adjusted. But I'm also feeling tired, a bit weak, and I'm craving sweet stuff.

    So: I ate a whole cashew and date bar. It's a bar made up entirely of cashews and dates. No gluten, dairy, etc.
    But it was full of carbs and 'natural' sugars from the dates.

    Then: 2 squares of chocolate. Milk chocolate. Bleh.

    Then: 1 small chocolate egg. You know those really tiny ones, wrapped in coloured tinfoil? Didn't even taste nice.

    Finally: a bowl of Primmeal. The recipe is in the Primal Recipe's section. And it's absolutely delicious. I had my doubts about it. I mean, egg with banana and berries?
    Anyway, it's awesome, but I shouldn't have had it. It's got a whole banana in it. Plus another teaspoon of honey, which I've already had two of today (in my cups of tea).

    I just can't believe I did this! Tomorrow's my weekly measuring day, and I was determined to do well today.

    Someone tell me off. I really need it!

    Day 10 - 8:45am -

    Hi all.

    I'm determined to eat well today. Last night I was scared that my face would break out, or a cold sore would pop up, in reaction to the sugar I had, but so far so good.

    And another amazing thing...I measured myself! I really didn't want to, because I was almost certain the results would depress me, but I did it anyway. Just wanted to see how bad the damage really was.

    New Specs:

    Waist: 25.5''
    Hips: 32''

    I can't believe it!
    I've actually lost an inch and a half!

    last night I went out and got a bar of 85% dark chocolate and had two squares of it. And it fixed everything.
    Cravings and irritability both vanished.
    And I can't gorge on dark chocolate like I can on milk. It's not sweet enough.

    So, in short: I'm feeling encouraged and optimistic.

    I feel sick.
    Too much dark chocolate.

    Note to self: don't have more than 1 square a day.

    Day 11

    A terrible day.

    Had to spend time with people I didn't like, couldn't think of an excuse not to.

    Then I got really bored, so I had two chocolate biscuits.
    When will I learn!?

    I'm going to bed early tonight, I really need the sleep.
    Time for some more turmeric tea, I think.

    Day 14

    Hey all!

    I've decided that I hate Easter.

    No, that's not right. I hate how we celebrate Easter. Why can't we celebrate with plates and plates of roast lamb, roast kumara and yams, with gravy and mint sauce!?

    Okay, I'm not going to write about the last couple of days.
    I'm working on suppressing the memory.

    Tomorrow will be Primal, or I'll...I'll...I'll do something drastic!

    Day 20 - 10:35am -

    Hi all.

    It's been a hugely busy week, so haven't updated in a while.

    On friday night I decided to do a fast, and I've just hit the 36 hour mark.
    I hope to go to tuesday morning. However, I do have karate on monday night. I guess it'll depend on my energy levels.

    Day 20 -continued-

    Hi again!

    Still fasting, still feeling good. Right now, I'm very close to the 48 hour mark.

    Exercise: I went for a bike ride with a friend, which was about an hour and twenty minutes long. Felt just fine.

    I did want to go to tuesday morning, but my Family is freaking out. My sister actually tried to force-feed me.
    I guess I'll stop tomorrow morning. Or tomorrow at lunchtime.

    Day 21

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
    Hi all!

    Just come home from karate.
    I love karate, it's my absolute favourite thing in the world.

    Anyway...I broke my fast at 9:00am, had quarter of a bowl of beef mince with a tsp of butter. I tried to have the whole half bowl, but I got too full.
    Then I had a few random snacks: a couple of squares of 85% chocolate, a spoonful of Greek yoghurt, a kiwifruit...I just couldn't get over the novelty of actually eating! It's my longest fast yet, 60 hrs long.

    Lunch: the rest of the mince, more dark chocolate. I know...I eat too much of it.

    Early dinner: 2 strips of bacon, 2 fried eggs, and a couple of slices of roast kumara (sweet potato).

    For an after Karate snack, I had a small portion of Greek yoghurt with a tsp of manuka honey.
    Plus a cup of 'sleep' tea.

    Sheesh, I've eaten a lot today.
    Oh well. Tomorrow's a new day, I plan on making it a good one.

    Exercise: a 1.4 km walk. I also spent 20 minutes hacking away at bushes with a gardening machete.
