I also stopped taking Cynomel. I became really frustrated with being unable to break the tablet into equal-sized chunks so I couldn't be sure how much I was taking. Then I got sick of recording every dose (I tried recording it even though i wasn't sure of the exact dose). And then I didn't know if it was doing anything, but I was also afraid of upping the dose too much. All that stuff about how taking too much t3 at once without properly ramping up the dose can shut down your thyroid.

Then it occurred to me that I was taking different amounts everyday, and that this up and down may do me more harm than good. So I just stopped.

I'm going to start taking it again after I move to CA. When I start again, I will find a way to divide the tablet into relatively equal-sized chunks. I'll also start to record my pulse and temp. (I was doing this initially but then stopped.)
The cynomel is just supposed to be supplemental, not replace your t3. Just take a nibble once or twice a day.

I held off doing it for ages, for the same reason, then last night I went went for it It's actually fine! Just go gentle at first. It's pretty simple, and I used the Cps afterwards, followed by moisturer an hour later.

I just read on the RP forum that nail clippers make it easier to cut Cynomel

I put it in moisturiser and use on my face

How are you deciding which thyroid supp and the dosage?
I think we have a lot of similar symptoms - particularly with the lack of ovulation and infertility. My periods aren't heavy at all, and when I was vegetarian I would go months without menstruating. People always said it was because I was so thin, but it transpires it wasn't.

Have you had your progesterone tested? I'm technically not hypothyroid - I have Oestrogen domiance, but hormonal imbalances create a ping pong effect between different hormones: Oestrogen blocks thyroid, my thyroid function is low which stops the body from producing progesterone etc.

Still playing around with the dosage of Raw thyroid! I'll do a write up on it in a few days. I'm taking Natural Sources (recommended by Derp).
"I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.

In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."

I haven't had progesterone tested for few years now. Back then I knew my luteal phase was 14 days, which I assumed meant enough progesterone to sustain pregnancy, and I didn't look any further.

Previously I thought the reason I had PCOS was because of insulin resistance, as the infertility specialist put me on metformin, an antidiabetic drug.

I'm really interested to hear about your experience with thyroid supp.

Have you had your testosterone checked? It's usually high in women with PCOS!

Oh, I didnt make an entry yesterday!

Took the Raw Thyroid on Friday night, and I think it may have worked well except that my housemate had people over drinking and taking drugs until 6am I was really tired again all day.

Went for a walk in the morning, but other than that, didnt exercise. Feel like I'm slacking off!!! Which is half intentional. I dont know... I kind of feel like everything is shifting within me a bit. I hope it's positive. I'm scared that my energy is going to go again and I'll get depressed. This is the longest in three months that I havent felt myself. I wonder how much the change of season has to do with it...?

Went to a party with yoga guy last night, and got absolutely trashed... again! But even in my drunken state I remembered to take my raw thyroid ;P We lounged in bed for most of the day, and now it's 10pm and I'm still not dressed...! Hangovers. I'm hoping that at least I'll be rested for tomorrow.

I'm going to up my progesterone dosage back to what it was. I feel like shit without it. Going to start taking my temps and resting heart rate from tomorrow.

Wow. I just had the best sleep I've had in MONTHS!!! Wayta go, Raw Thyroid!

Also, if anyone has any positive energy to send my way, please do today. I just applied for a job I really want I realise I need to work for someone else over the winter months. Summer is time for independence, winter is for togetherness...

Me too! Well, I mean I woke up at 4am, then finally woke at 11:30am and has some very strange dreams. Breaking bad was a part of that, lol.

I feel totally relaxed, frigin' dark circles are still terrible but still. Like you, I'm looking at jobs too I thought the managerial role I was recommended to look at wouldn't open up until next September, but applications start today until December. The store redesigned their site which is probably why it "closed" at the beginning of September!

    Hey lovely! <3

Sending bunch of positive vibes to you across the ocean. The "shift" you talk about, I kinda feel it too. With all the good things that have happened lately, I know it can only be a positive one
I do feel run down(to put it mildly) for a while before I get my period too, and a change of season makes me a little sad thinking that another year has neared its end. Fall looks beautiful, though.

I've been getting night sweats for two nights in a row, and it coincides with me taking the raw thyroid. Hmm, I need to get more serious about taking body temp and pulse.

Woo! I'm so glad you're going ahead with your career plans.

I think we should start a support group for PMS where we can just bitch and moan about everything for a week and then move on. I think it would be therapeutic *not joking*
Is it weird in here, or is it just me?
