Fat soluble vitamin intake(namely thinking e and a atm)? Copper intake(do you eat liver)? Shower with really hot showers? Filtered water?(I'm guessing since you said you live on a farm, water quality is good)

Some soaps have endocrine disruptors and can dry out the skin. I usually use dr bronners or some cheap bar by dove.

I use shampoo, mostly cause I dye and overextend my hair a lot with a lot of product.

Oh, and I had a friend that had a problem with cracked elbows until I told them about gelatin and recommended eating a whole lot of it, now they don't have a problem with it. Maybe relevant to you.

And, yeah, I have really good genetics.

I take vit E and D along with mag and potassium. Honestly, changing over to primal and raising my fat intake has helped my skin a lot! I no longer end the day with painful burning skin because it's so dry. Moisturizing and consuming coconut oil has helped tons. We have well water here.

My skin IS getting better, but nothing changes over night. Im loving the olive oil on my face. I'll probably add a touch of castor oil come summer when im sweating and become more oily.
I have heard about the gelatin. Havent gotten around to doing research or purchasing yet, but it's on the list. My fresh goat milk is amazing! I reccomend everyone try it out as a toner.

Ive been reading a bit more about water only bathing. I think Im going to try it starting Monday. I already go 3 days without bathing now, due to the severity of my dryness in the winter. Thanks for reminding me about gelatin- oh and my showers are typically luke warm. Hot water doesnt agree with me either.
The process is simple: Free your mind, and your ass will follow.

Water and a gentle scrubbing with a wash cloth. That's it. Moisturize immediately afterwards.

My son gets very dry patches of skin, especially summer and winter. Aveeno moisturizers are the only thing that work.

Right now I am only using Olive oil which is moisturizing. After only three applications, I can tell a real difference! The irritated cry patched on my cheeks are gone and the redness in my face is going down as well. Once a day I have been toning with goat milk. Love the way that feels. I will try some baking soda exfoliating as well.

I also used baking soda/coconut oil under my arms today instead of deodorant. Just got home from work- no stank! woo hoo!

Have you gone back to the yogurt and lemon, then?

I am still fixin' to get a skin brush. I am convinced of it's benefits and I would like to add it in.
Thanks I've gone back to my usual products for my face (which were working fine) and am looking to buy some specialised ones to help with the damage. And there's always botox... (I wish I was kidding )

Other than that, I'm all for the natural approach! I never had a problem with BO but I've ditched the deordouarant altogether and just use coconut oil. Tried the baking soda and it was too messy. And still no-poo! My hair looks great.

Get the skin brush! Whatever about superficial results, it feels great!
"I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.

In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."

I've conditioned my hair and my daughters hair using coconut oil. Cover your dry hair with the oil, put on a shower cap and either let it sit for a half hour, or warm with a hair dryer for 15 minutes. Shampoo twice, condition once, and your hair is nice and shiny.

op seems to have wandered off, but i stopped using cleansers on my face and shortly thereafter stopped needing moisturizer. i do take hot baths, use a washcloth to exfoliate and steam my face every now and again, but it's soft and super clean.

for those using the castor oil? i tried it for awhile but saw no improvement -- just a gross film in my tub. how long does it take to work?

i eat bone broth most days, but am wondering about also supplementing with gelatin? am a little skeeved about by the knox? how do you take it?
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

I am expecting a shipment of 5# of beef gelatin from amazon any day. You can add it to soup, where it gives a nice body. It is also good in stabilizing leftovers you pack for lunches, so they don't leak out of their containers, because they are solid.

I'm going to try the OCM as soon as my tea tree and jojoba oils get here. My understanding is that you're not supposed to put the straight astringent oil on your face (tea tree or castor oils, for example) but you should mix it in varying ratios with a moisturizing oil. I'm going to do @ 3/4C moisturizing oil to a Tablespoon of tea tree oil to start.

For now I take my makeup off with a dove bar. I get facials once a month, washcloth steam a few times a week, and until recently I used very un primal anti aging face and eye creams. For body lotion I used Aveda or Aveeno. That is until I tried beef tallow. That stuff is amazing! Face, body, and feet! I love it and hopefully it keeps going well because I don't want to stop. And I made a body scrub with salt, various oils, and lemon zest and juice. After that I don't need any moisturizing except my face for days.

Noodle, for gelatin I'm using one by NOW foods right now but when it's gone I'm switching to Great Lakes (i think that's what it's called) as it's grass fed gelatin. I put a T in my coffee. It's totally tasteless.
