Soy lecithin is an emulsifier that is probably unrelated to the unpleasant sweetness of the product.
Maybe you could just buy the cocoa beans for the ultimate primal choco-experience.
ok, when I ate chocolate, I chose something like Green and Blacks' 85% or even 90% solids. This is a UK product, I suppose, so apologise to others elsewhere if this doesn't make a lot of sense.
Is this paleo 'enough', guys? I don't eat much of the stuff anyway, not because I don't like it, I do! But I am really sugar-averse these days.
Also, I have come across some chocolate that has soy lecithin (sp?) that is particularly unpleasantly sweet. Yuck, I don't wan that.
uk/Europe recommendations for choc would be very welcome.

ps, I can get 100% cacao solids, but it's really quite an exquisite taste that I cannot afford.

I'm not certain if it can be shipped to the UK, but Lulu's Chocolate is to die for... and just about as paleo as chocolate can get. (It's raw, organic, and lightly sweetened with low-glycemic coconut sugar. Yum!)

I love G&B's 85%.
Can you get Scharffen Berger? Their 99% bar is AMAZING.

I just eat the nuts straight up.
Cant get any more paleo than that.
I like Montezuma choc. Have found it in our local health food shop and waitrose. Their dark chocolate ingredients - 73% organic cocoa solids, organic sugar, organic vanilla. That is it, it is not the highest cocoa content but I needed to find something that didn't have any soy in and most choc seems to these days. My favourite one of theirs has orange oil in too.

Chocolate is a processed food.
Cacao bean is a real food....and even that is questionable.
