Alternate day fasting
Has anybody had experience with this form of IF? I will be stuck home for most of the summer due to a food injury so I want experiment with it.
1) On your on days, do you eat like normal, or do you eat more in order to make up for it?
2) Is it true that it speeds up recovery?
3) Will I lose too much muscle mass?
Thanks all.

What do you want to accomplish through IF? If you're satisfied with your weight, no need to bother with ADIF. I did it for a couple weeks 2 years ago and noticed accelerated fat loss, but I haven't been in the mood to try it since. I think people are way too afraid of muscle loss. Yeah, you might lose a little, but so what? It won't be noticeable and you can always get it back. Just make sure you eat your protein.
On the other hand, you do have a pretty serious injury and it might be in your best interests to keep yourself fed, IFing maybe once a week.

There's also Plutarch's quote "Instead of using medicine, rather, fast a day."

I want to use IF in order to speed up the recovery of my fractured foot. And since I will be home I don't want to start resorting to food for comfort.
I can't do shit for the next few months so I will lose muscle mass regardless.
Thanks for the link Suki! (好き in Japanese or just a coincidence?)
