Yeah, that's me. 4-0-0 on HFLC Primal. Just an amateur, but still a black swan to the "you can't train MMA on low carb" argument.
Thats pretty cool. You dont carb load at all? Are you on a ketogenic diet?
At this particular moment, I'm not on a ketogenic diet, because I'm bulking and lifting. But when I'm preparing for a fight, I'm definitely keto for 6-8 weeks pretty continuously, and don't usually carb load unless I hit a sticking point in leaning out. Even in that case I might do a single day carb re-feed at most.
What about fight night, what do you usually eat the day of?
Same. I bring a cooler with bacon and cheese and hard boiled eggs for after the weigh in. And I drink a few cups of coffee with way too much cream. If I cut any water weight (I don't usually), I'll rehydrate with a thermos full of bone broth.
Pretty interesting.
Why can't you just bring some precooked meats and eggs? Soup isn't exactly the choice I'd make if I were training hardcore. Too low in calories and all that water sloshing around your stomach as you train...
