That's wonderful news. Congratulations for finding a good solution.
When I was 70 pounds heavier, it took birth control pills and retin-A to control my acne. The pills caused melasma, but I figured that was better than acne.
Last year I decided to stop taking the HBC and see if the weight loss would improve things with my acne - I kept using the retin-A. My skin wasn't exactly perfect, but improved enough to stay off the HBC so long as I kept using the retin-A. Then I went primal.
I noticed a few weeks ago that my acne had gone from very mild to non-existent. I didn't say "I'm going to stop using retin-A now" but I've been using it less and less and my skin has stayed great. And I just now noticed that the melasma I've had on my forehead for 8 years is gone. I hope (and expect) the melasma on my upper lip will soon follow.
Yay!

Ditto. Well done.

Same here. Spent my whole life covered in boils the size of marbles. Now nothing, maybe a couple of little zits here and there from dairy or stress, but nothing like the cysts I endured previously. It seems to have been primarily the soybean oil, since if I cheat and eat something with any amount in it, I break out in the same painful way.

Congratulations! I have noticed that I am no longer so horribly sun sensitive. I used to feel like I was being burned alive after just a few minutes in the sun, now I actually enjoy being in it. If you knew my whole-adult-life aversion to the sun, you would know how much of a turnaround this is! I credit the lack of seed oils, now that my fatty acids come from animal fats and olive oil. We used to eat canola oil like water, almost (tons of homemade vinaigrette). The horrible itching is also gone. Yay Primal!
I have a mantra that I have spouted for years... "If I eat right, I feel right. If I feel right, I exercise right. If I exercise right, I think right. If I think right, I eat right..." Phil-SC
